2010 – 2011 Hearst Journalism Awards Competitions
The 2010-2011 Hearst Journalism Awards program consists of 14 competitions in college writing, photojournalism, radio and television broadcast news, and multimedia. The competitions begin in October with Feature Writing and will continue through April when the final competition, Multimedia II, takes place. The top five finalists in each competition will earn scholarship awards with matching grants going to their schools for a total of $226,800. Each participating university also earns a $100 stipend for each competition entered. The top finalists from each competition and their winning work will be featured here. Top winners in each division also qualify to participate in the National Championship in June 2011. For entry materials, please contact us or the journalism department of your university.
