The writing finalists interviewed Professor Ling-chi Wang, Chair of UC Berkeley’s Ethnic Studies department, and wrote a news story and a personality/profile about their subject. In addition, they researched and wrote and on-the-spot article about San Francisco’s historic Chinatown.
