A Tale of Two Cities
Although immigrant communities at the extremes of poverty and affluence share a common goal in the United States, the cost of living is an ongoing problem driven by those working in the world’s top tech companies. For immigrant families that simply cannot afford to live in one of the world’s most expensive cities, there is the Oakland Worker House, which provides transitional housing for the poor and disenfranchised.
